Nirma University is awarded with a 4-star status with a CGPA of 3.9 by Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) 2020.
The education department had declared the results on Friday. Gujarat University has scored 5-star rating with an overall 4.14 CGPA. CEPT University scored 5-star in ‘Architecture College’ while Nirma Universities, Institute of Pharmacy bagged top ranking in ‘Pharmacy’ category. This year three colleges bagged 5-star rating in college category namely St. Xavier’s College, SIR P T Sarvjanik Science College, Surat and Mafatlal Gagalbhai Science.
CEPT unviversity scored 6.63 while Junagadh Agri University scored 3.61 and PDPU scored 3.6 CGPA being top five Universities in Gujarat. This year total of 28 Universities, 68 colleges, 22 engineering institutes, 3 management institutes, 2 agriculture, 6 pharmacy and one law institute had participated in the GSIRF.
Dr. Anup Singh, Director General of Nirma University, said to Ahmedabad Mirror and we quote, “We are content as our score and ratings have improved from last year. We have improved our CGPA. We focused more on research and also boosted our infrastructure. In coming years, we will focus more on research.”
