With the arrival of Holiday Season, we all are excited about the holidays and preparations for winters. It’s also time for New Year, which makes us wear our Thinking caps and we start to think about the changes we can make to our lives, what we’ve left behind last year, how we can build a better routine, get organized and much more. To be more precise Its “New Year and a New you”.
New Year comes up with time for hope and growth and set you in motion for taking your New Year resolutions. Here are a few new year resolutions you can ponder upon.
- Taking Care of yourself:
While you’re on vacation, it’s likely to get into a lazy mode, we socialize less in those days, our eating habits change and the most common mistake we make is forgetting our daily routine. On the days when we are extremely busy as well, we tend to forget to balance our study and life. So, our first resolution should be to take care of ourselves. If we stay healthy and stress-free, our tasks and study can also be managed in a good manner. One should know how to prioritize between study and the day to day chores, along with that our health is equally important. Waking up early and exercising for a while, brings commendable improvement in you, it helps to raise your energy level, making you enthusiastic. Also, keeping track of your food habits, caffeine level intake and taking a proper amount of sleep can help you to stay healthy and fit.
- Set your Goals:
Making a timetable can help you set your goals in a better way. Especially if you expect progress on daily basis it will help you to keep track of your daily activities and how much time you could spend doing a specific task or activity. You will have to set a reasonable schedule that can be added to your calendar, and what you are going to do is set out clearly. The continuity will let you keep the promise of your New Year because you know what you are going to do, without vagueness.
- Start a New Activity:
Once you are done with your Student life you may not get much time to engage in any other activity which you wish to do. Probably this is the best time to take-up any activity you’ve always thought of doing, whether it is dancing, painting or just reading a new book. This will give you a change from your regular schedule and help you brighten up your day. In a way, this helps you to unwind from daily stress.
- Procrastinate less:
The term simply means you keep delaying or postpone your studies in order to do something else. We know what we should be doing, it is just we don’t want to do it. None of us do it deliberately, but it only happens when the individual doesn’t know how to plan things or prioritize the tasks. One should try and identify the reason behind it and work on it. For example, rather than simply telling yourself to stop procrastinating, find out the specific ways you like procrastinating and assess your progress by setting a certain time to complete a task.
- Give yourself a Challenge:
Maintain an attitude of embracing new challenges that will make your routine interesting. It can also help you build confidence. Each month, you can even try to take on a new challenge and set a time to complete it. Challenges can be any like we can drink water at a regular interval, take small breaks from study, or start writing. These challenges will help you gain more knowledge and make you ready for situations where your confidence can be tested and built up accordingly.
Try not to beat yourself too much about your mistakes when you crack on a fresh and improved self. It’s never too late to improve yourself. You might always struggle at first, but minor difficulties are completely normal as you have the whole year to get back on track.
