Amazon India has recently made an exciting announcement in anticipation of International Women’s Day 2024. The company has revealed plans to award scholarships to 500 female students as part of the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program. This initiative underscores Amazon’s commitment to fostering gender diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.
This announcement marks the third edition of Amazon India’s #SheIsAmazon campaign, which was launched on the 49th International Women’s Day under the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’. The campaign aims to showcase 49 unique programs, initiatives, and benefits within Amazon that empower women, both internally and externally.
The scholarships offered through this program are specifically designed to provide female students with the necessary resources and opportunities to pursue careers in the tech domain. Recipients of the scholarship will receive financial support, mentorship from Amazon employees, and access to advanced coding boot camps tailored to help them excel in the tech industry.
Selected students will be granted an annual scholarship of INR 50,000 for the duration of their courses in computer science or related fields of study. Additionally, this year’s recipients will also be provided with personal laptops to facilitate seamless participation in various educational activities such as boot camps and webinars.

He emphasized that initiatives like the Amazon Future Engineer Scholar Intern Program are crucial for investing in the next generation of female leaders in technology, ultimately contributing to building a better world for all.
